Citizens Gas Employee Named President of Diversity Roundtable
INDIANAPOLIS – Tamiko Razika, Senior Employment Administrator at Citizens Gas & Coke Utility, has been named President of The Diversity Roundtable of Central Indiana (DRTCI). The DRTCI is a non-profit organization formed out of a desire, commitment, and need to focus on diversity as an integral part of organizations of greater Indianapolis that are interested in implementing diversity strategies or maintaining current initiatives.
Razika assumes the role of President of DRTCI after serving as the Citizens Gas liaison to the group for the past five years. Razika will continue to take valuable information from the Roundtable and share it with the Citizens Gas Diversity Action Council, a group charged with guiding and implementing the utility’s Diversity Strategy Plan.
In her current role at the utility, Razika has been instrumental in assisting the Citizens Gas senior management team in coordinating the internal diversity and inclusion efforts, which involve training, awareness and celebratory events. “I feel honored to be part of a team that is truly committed to diversity in words and in actions. I believe Citizens Gas’ inclusiveness efforts are transforming the company into one of the top diversity organizations in Marion County,” commented Razika.
Drawing on the vision of the Roundtable’s Board of Directors and her 12 years of experience in Human Resources and non-profit management, Razika will continue helping Citizens Gas build stronger partnerships within the community its customers live, work and play.
